Barrecore

Destino Says...

Barrecore was acquired by United Fitness Brands in 2021 joining KOBOX and Boom Cycle in their portfolio)but it was originally Founded by Niki Rein, who moved from the US to the UK in 2009 and was amazed at the lack of barre classes on offer. Taking matters into her own hands, she started teaching classes from a mews house before setting up the first Barrecore studio in Chelsea in 2011.

They now have studios across London – and more throughout the UK in Hale, Alderley Edge, Bristol and Leeds – meaning that there’s probably one within easy reach of where you live or work. Classes vary depending on expertise or requirement (their Lite classes are perfect for beginners and pre and post natal while their Advanced are fast-paced killers for regulars who’ve done at least 20 Signature classes). All are set to up-beat music and include high-repetition barre moves to recreate the training that professional dancers undertake. This mixed with fat-burning interval training and static stretches results in elongated, firmer limbs, a strong core, improved posture and reduced body fat. For ultra convenience, they also offer video classes so that you can continue your workout wherever you are in the world.
